Achieving Balance

Edwards Clinical Therapy
Achieving Balance
Balance is so hard to achieve and takes so much effort to maintain. Work, school, family, friends.... Everyone wants, expects, needs so much from us. Balancing all of this can feel impossible. Finding time for ourselves in addition to so many demands can feel selfish or wasteful and when we do we can feel guilty. This is why, in addition to your specific treatment goals, I use the theme of finding balance with all of my clients. I find this to be a common human struggle that, when addressed, can bring a sense of peace so many of us search for.

"Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen."

A Bit About Therapy
Are you completely overwhelmed by life? Do you fluctuate between trying to do everything perfectly and just wanting to completely give up? Are your goals and relationships being impacted by this cycle? Many of my clients already have all the components that "should" make up a happy life and they feel guilty that they struggle to be content. They pretend to be happy and this is difficult as well. Holding back all of those emotions can push others away and leave us feeling lonely and disconnected. After holding the emotions in, they can eventually crash down like a tidal wave on those we love.

Using systematically researched, evidence-based therapy techniques, I can help you make lasting changes to the way you think, feel and behave. Through the assessment process, we can develop a better understanding of your issues and design a personalized treatment plan that fits you best. We will continually track your progress toward your goals and make adjustments when needed. Change may feel impossible right now, but with this approach and your hard work, you will see that it is possible!
